The University of Minnesota’s Department of Pediatrics seeks a Pediatric Interventional Cardiologist for a full-time faculty position in the Division of Pediatrics Cardiology. The rank of this position is at the level of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor based on qualifications.
The Interventional Cardiology team at the University of Minnesota Masonic Children's hospital has two active full-time interventional cardiologists who perform the full spectrum of cardiac interventions in two dedicated pediatric cath labs, one of which includes a brand new state of the art 3D rotational Canon system. It is supported by 7 well-trained cath lab technologists/nursing teams. University of Minnesota is well known for its tremendous research infrastructure and partnerships with the medical device industry.
About the Appointment:
The candidate will be responsible for performing cardiac catheterization.
The candidate will also participate in inpatient attending activities and outpatient clinics.
Additional responsibilities will include participation in the teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows, clinical practice through UMPhysicians, and participation in service activities on behalf of the department, the medical school, and your profession.
The successful candidate will participate in research projects and other academic/scholarly activities either as a collaborator or independent researcher, and participate in faculty development activities tailored to the candidate's career interests and goals.
